Jaqxun is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and educator born and raised in South Minneapolis. Their background in community health work, education, and health equity activism led them to become a midwife. They began supporting families as a full-spectrum doula in 2001 and began midwifery training at Birthwise Midwifery School in 2010.  They apprenticed in both rural and urban homebirth settings in Minnesota, Maine, and Cambodia. Jaqxun became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) in 2014 and are committed to give each family they work with the unique, attentive support they deserve.

With over 12 years of experience as a midwife, Jaqxun brings a calm, knowledgeable, and compassionate presence to every birth. They support families with evidence-based care while honoring each birthing person as the expert on their own body and experiences. Jaqxun believes that optimal health, pregnancy, birth, and parenting flourish when people feel supported, loved, nourished, and empowered to make informed decisions about their care.
